The Katsina State Scholarship Board has scheduled Sept. 18 for the initiation of scholarship awards to deserving indigent students in tertiary institutions throughout the state.
Malam Salisu Lawal-Kerau, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the board, announced this in a statement in Katsina.
He noted that the program is set to conclude on Oct. 9 in various higher institutions of learning in Katsina and surrounding areas.
“Students who applied for the scholarship as fresh students in the 2020/2021 academic session should be aware that the board has finalized plans to distribute award letters to them in their respective institutions within the Katsina Metropolis and nearby regions.
Thus, all new students must bring a photocopy of their registration receipt, or remitta, and a valid school identity card when collecting their scholarship awards.
“Furthermore, a verification process will be carried out for all returning students.
They too must present a photocopy of their scholarship letters, registration receipts, or remitta, for the verification process,” Lawal-Kerau added.
