AFCON 2025 Qualifier: CAF awards 3 points, 3 goals to Nigeria

The Disciplinary Board of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), on Saturday awarded three points and three goals to Nigeria from the botched Matchday 4 2025 AFCON qualification match.

The match was scheduled to be played in Libya on 15 October.

CAF, in its ruling on Saturday signed by Ousmane Kane, Chairman, Disciplinary Board, said that the Libya Football Federation breached Article 31 of the AFCON Regulations as well as Articles 82 and 151 of the CAF Disciplinary Code.

It declared that Libya had forfeited the match No. 87 involving her and Nigeria which was to be played in Benghazi.

The soccer body awarded 3 goals and 3 points to Nigeria.
